Two major roads in Montenegro are the Adriatic Highway from Herceg Novi to Ulcinj, and the highway Bar-Podgorica-Kolasin-Bijelo Polje - Serbian border (linking the North and the South of the Republic). In the summer months, the traffic is busy on the road Herceg Novi-Trebinje, which links Montenegro to Bosnia-Herzegovina. One of the major roads, which link the southern part with both capital cities, is the road Budva-Cetinje-Podgorica.
If you want to visit Montenegro by bus/coach, there is many destinations that are offering direct lines to Montenegro. If you are coming from Serbia (or passing through) there are many direct bus lines for Montenegro from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica and all other major cities. From Bosnia and Herzegovina there are direct lines for Montenegro from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Bijeljina, Mostar and Trebinje. From Croatia there are lines from Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik, which leads to Montenegro. Due to frequent changes, we recommend that you directly contact the bus station to find out timetable toward the desired destination.
In Montenegro you can enter through one of the following border crossings with: Serbia (Rance, Cemerno, Dobrakovo, Kula, Dracenovac, Vuce), Croatia (Debeli brijeg, Kobila), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sitnica, Ilino brdo, Vracenovici, Krstac, Nudo, Scepan Polje, Metaljka, Sula), Albania (Bozaj, Sukobin, Grncar)
Gas stations in Montenegro have to offer the following types of fuel: Euro super 98, Euro super 95, Euro diesel and LPG. Gas stations are located in all cities and along major roads.
